Job summary

WestCare GulfCoast-Florida Inc. is seeking a dedicated Behavioral Health Technician to supervise residents, ensure safety, and model appropriate behavior in a residential setting.

The role includes transporting clients to appointments, documenting daily notes, monitoring medications, and updating the CDS system, all under the supervision of the Program Manager.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 1 year experience working with clients in a residential setting preferred.
• Possess a valid Florida driver's license and be eligible for continued coverage preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Monitor client chores, sign in sheets and curfews.
• Transport clients to community appointments as needed.
• Complete support documentation and daily notes for assigned clients.
• Monitor clients taking medication and medication counts.
• Stock office, kitchen and bathroom supplies.
• Sort mail and file daily paperwork.
• Submit write ups, incident reports and shift reports.
• Update and monitor Client Data System (CDS).
• Utilize crisis intervention techniques to de-escalate situations and ensure safety.
• Work under supervision of Program Manager.
• Support WestCare mission and guidelines.

POSITION SUMMARY:Person in this position will provide direct supervision of clients ensuring safety of all residents, model appropriate behavior, and compliance to program rules. Daily routine care and supervision will fall mainly to the Behavioral Health Technician. Essential Job Functions include those listed below. Other duties may be assigned as needed.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Monitor client chores, sign in sheets and curfews.Transport to community appointments such as medical, dental, school, as needed.Complete support documentation and daily notes for assigned clients.Monitor clients taking medication and medication counts.Stock all office, kitchen and bathroom supplies.Sort mail and file daily paperwork.Submit write ups, incident reports and shift reports.Update and monitor CDS (Client data system).Utilize crisis intervention techniques to assist with de-escalation of situations ensuring safety for all.Work under the supervision of Program ManagerEmbrace and embody the mission, vision, guiding principles, clinical vision, and goals of WestCare Foundation.Other relevant duties as assigned.ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the duties and responsibilities satisfactorily.
