Job summary

OCD Anxiety Centers is hiring a Behavioral Health Technician I for evening, in-person work Monday through Friday. The role focuses on learning, promoting a positive culture, and supporting clients in building safe, effective functioning while upholding high quality standards under supervision.

The team emphasizes evidence-based practice, ongoing training, and collaboration with the Behavioral Health Technician Supervisor to deliver care for OCD and related conditions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Critical thinking and teamwork are essential.
  • Proficient computer knowledge (Google Docs, Sheets).
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality required.

Responsibilities

  • Engage clients in clinical interactions and skill development.
  • Maintain professional, caring, and effective client interactions.
  • Provide validation in a warm, safe environment and motivate clients to address distress.
  • Facilitate groups, maintain a professional environment, collect homework, document, and provide feedback to primary therapists.
  • Monitor clients’ daily activities and implement treatment plans.

Job description

Shift: Evening hours, In‑Person Monday‑Friday from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm.

Role Overview

The Behavioral Health Technician I focuses on learning, creating a positive culture, and productively engaging with the team. The role supports clients in building safe, effective, and efficient functioning while maintaining high quality standards and collaborating with the Behavioral Health Technician Supervisor.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Zero documentation errors weekly
  • Average Facility Audit Score 90%
  • 5‑7 hours/day of active facilitation/support on the treatment floor
  • Master BHT competencies within 30‑60 days of employment
  • Demonstrated adherence to OCD Anxiety Centers values and positive peer community impact
  • Reduce early discharges by at least 10% and maintain ALOS of at least 52 days through treatment satisfaction
Competencies
  • Understanding of client‑level systems and disorder modules (OCD, BDD, GAD, SAD, Panic, Trauma, DBT, Specialty Skills)
  • Proficiency with EMR system: charting, notes, outcome measures, and document uploads
  • Knowledge of youth client core concepts, safety, and family participation
  • Implementation, support, and documentation of behavioral contingency plans
  • Effective facilitation of Exposure Groups, DBT Groups, and Specialty Skills Groups; strong competency evaluation skills
  • Identification of systematic issues impacting floor flow
  • Preparation and execution of Crisis Response Plan (CRP) for safety questions
  • De‑escalation, crisis intervention, and behavior management techniques
  • Controlled‑use key holder responsibilities and red‑cart management
  • Use of Kindles for group facilitation and inventory management
  • IOP policies for client attendance and concern resolution
  • Telehealth via Google Meet: appropriate use and exposure delivery
  • Accessing and writing general client notes appropriately
  • Prompt notification of behavioral, safety, or attendance issues to therapists
  • Utilization of coping scripts for client exposures
  • Community exposure timing and client process guidance
  • Administration and encouragement of weekly surveys
  • Proper storage, audit, and disposal of food exposure items
Responsibilities

  • Maintain written documentation such as progress notes and group therapy notes
