COMHAR's Intensive Behavioral Health Services (IBHS) is located in the Philadelphia area. IBHS supports children, youth, and young adults with mental, emotional, and behavioral health needs. Services are provided in home, school, and community settings to help reduce and replace problem behaviors with positive, socially appropriate behaviors, with a focus on family engagement.
Behavioral Health Technician provides one-to-one mental health interventions to children or adolescents with serious emotional disturbance to prevent more restrictive services or out-of-home placement and promote age-appropriate psychosocial growth. These services, recommended by a psychologist/psychiatrist and approved by CBH, are short-term with minimal disruption in the home and educational setting. The technician works collaboratively with family, teachers, and school personnel to develop skills needed for integration into normal activities. Interventions include:
