We're looking for a Behavioral Health Technician in the Healthcare Systems and Services industry, located in Petersburg, Virginia, United States.

Centria Health seeksBehavioral Health Technicians to work one-on-one with children and families with autism. Responsibilities include implementing learning programs, collecting data, communicating with stakeholders, maintaining confidentiality, and meeting regularly with a direct supervisor. You will build trust with the child and family in their home, within 15 minutes from your residence.

Our comprehensive paid behavioral health training will prepare you to impact the developmental growth of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Under the guidance of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), you will use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills, and reduce interfering behaviors.

Your typical day:

• Provide one-on-one developmental and behavioral support in the child's home, adapting techniques to various behaviors.
• Partner with a BCBA to implement individualized behavioral intervention plans, including physical and mental exercises.
• Use evidence-based techniques to engage children in activities that may involve physical movement and lifting objects up to 50 pounds.
