Job summary

Amatus Health is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician to support individuals in recovery within an integrated health system. You will participate in intake, transport, and daily routines while ensuring client safety and clear communication with medical staff.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, and at least 1 year in the mental health field; CDCA is required. Expect 12-hour night shifts, every other weekend, with competitive benefits and opportunities to mentor clients.

Responsibilities:

As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will:

• Assist in the intake process and transportation needs for clients

• Answer client questions and help clients adjust to the program routine

• Observe and report to the medical staff any changes in a client's physical or mental condition

• Ensure client safety and well-being at all times

• Collaborate with the medical department to monitor patient medication and respond to patient needs

Schedule:

• 12-hour shifts, nights, every other weekend

Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED

• 1+ year experience in Mental Health Field (or corresponding college coursework) - preferable

• Ability to keep patients safe at all times

• Professional demeanor and strong work ethic

• Valid driver's license

• CDCA required

Expectations:

• Establish and maintain healthy relationships with patients

• Run groups and mentor clients

• Assist with the admission process and orientation procedures

• Maintain clear communication during client admits

• Complete timely and accurate shift reports and checklists

• Facilitate orientation groups and meetings with patients

• De-escalate patient problems and ensure patient safety
