Qualifications

  • One year experience in alcohol/drug treatment and demonstrate a basic understanding of the principles of chemical dependency recovery with direct patient contact preferred
  • Candidates must possess the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations
  • Must have valid driver’s license and auto insurance (provides confirmation to be eligible for company coverage)
  • Must be able to walk within the facility and on the grounds of the facility for approximately one mile per eight-hour shift
  • Capable of administering CPR
  • Must be emotionally and physically capable of functioning under stressful situations
  • If recovering, two years of continuous verifiable abstinence

  • Provide direct patient care and support, including crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques during behavioral emergencies
  • Maintain accurate and detailed clinical documentation, including progress notes, incident reports, and discharge plans
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment and discharge plans
  • Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients with serious emotional disturbances (SED) by following established protocols and guidelines

We are looking to add a Behavioral Health Technician to our growing team! The Behavioral Health Technician plays a critical role in supporting individuals experiencing mental health challenges by providing compassionate, hands‑on care and assistance. This position involves working closely with clinical teams to implement treatment plans, conduct clinical assessments, and respond effectively to crisis situations. The technician ensures accurate and timely clinical documentation to support patient care continuity and regulatory compliance. They contribute to the development and execution of discharge plans, facilitating smooth transitions for patients returning to their communities or other care settings. Ultimately, the role aims to promote patient safety, emotional stability, and progress toward recovery within a structured and supportive environment.

  • Must be able to walk within the facility and on the grounds of the facility for approximately one (1) mile per every eight (8) hour shift
  • Able to stand continuously in increments of 45 minutes to one (1) hour
  • Capa ble of administering CPR (certification provided if needed)
  • Must be capable of seeing and hearing activity in their surroundings constantly
  • Must be emotionally and physically capable of functioning under stressful situations
  • If recovering, two years of continuous verifiable abstinence
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in counseling, psychology, substance abuse or related subject
  • Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS), Licensed Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor (LADAC) or related certification(s)
  • Active CPR certification
  • Two (2) or more years working with people in chemical dependency recovery with regular direct patient contact
