We are seeking a School Based Behavior Health Technician to join our team in Southern Huntingdon County School District.

Position Details

At Merakey, you can make a difference in the lives of children by providing evidence-based treatment to deliver 1:1 direct services in family homes, schools, and community settings. Enjoy a work environment where your personality can shine while applying individualized treatment.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Implementing behavior modification intervention plans developed collaboratively with families, schools, and Therapists.
  2. Intervening as needed when the child exhibits problem behaviors.
  3. Using appropriate intervention techniques, including removing the child from the area, discussing behaviors, accessing parental support, and implementing plan procedures.
  4. Maintaining records of progress and issues.
  5. Reporting to the Therapist daily.
  6. Attending required training sessions.
  7. Providing treatment services to families, including skills training and education to promote active family involvement.
  8. Maintaining regular communication with families, schools, physicians, and other service providers.
  9. Working flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of children and families.

Merakey offers a continuum of care in behavioral health, integrating services in community and site-based settings, providing a wide range of recovery-focused treatments, services, and supports for children and adults.

Earn: $16.63 per hour

Qualifications

Our ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

  • A Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or a related discipline.
