We're looking for a Behavioral Health Technician in the Healthcare Systems and Services industry, located in Chesapeake, Virginia, United States.

Are you a compassionate caregiver with at least a high school diploma (or GED) residing in Chesapeake, VA?

Centria Health is seeking Behavioral Health Technicians to work one-on-one with children and families with autism. Responsibilities include implementing learning programs, collecting data, communicating with stakeholders, maintaining confidentiality, and meeting regularly with a supervisor. You will build trust with the child and family in their home within 15 minutes of your residence.

Our comprehensive paid behavioral health training will prepare you to support children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), guiding their developmental growth and managing challenging behaviors under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). You will use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills.

Your daily responsibilities include:

• Providing one-on-one developmental and behavioral support in the child's home, adapting techniques to various behaviors and styles.
• Partnering with a BCBA to implement individualized intervention plans, which may involve physical and mental exercises.
• Using evidence-based techniques to engage children through physical activities, which may include standing, walking, sitting, grasping, reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, squatting, lifting, and occasionally carrying children or objects up to 50 pounds.
