Job summary

HCA Florida North Florida Hospital is seeking a Behavioral Health Tech PRN to assist in coordinating nursing and psychiatric care with a multidisciplinary team. You will support patients, document findings, and help ensure safety and quality of care.

You will work within a collaborative team that values compassionate patient-focused service, privacy, and timely crisis intervention when needed. This PRN role supports hospital operations across various shifts and locations as required.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of start date
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within 30 days of start date
• Fingerprint required
• 6 months experience in healthcare

Responsibilities

• Observe, report, and document patient’s physiological and psychological status using the nursing process per hospital policies and unit procedures.
• Provide and document information on patient care.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living; attend to patient behavioral problems and provide crisis intervention as needed.
• Advocate for patient privacy and confidentiality of information.
• Follow guidelines for reporting significant medical errors or adverse outcomes.

Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking a BehavioralHealth Technician to join our healthcare team. Your primary function is to assist in the coordination of nursing/psychiatric care provided in conjunction with the multidisciplinary treatment team. You will work with a phenomenal team that cares like family and works together in a collaborative manner.

In this role you will:

• Observe, report, and document patient’s physiological and psychological status by using the nursing process based upon established hospital policies and procedures, unit specific policies and procedures, and/or Standards of Care/Practice.
• Provide and document information on patient care.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living; attend to patient behavioral problems and provides assistance in crisis intervention, as needed.
• Serve as the patient and family advocate with respect to the patients right to privacy by protecting confidential information.
• Follow established guidelines for reporting a significant medical error or unanticipated outcome in the patient’s care which results in patient harm or potential harm.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Other-Fingerprint Required
• 6 months experience Required Years of Experience
