Job summary

Memorial Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks a Behavioral Health Technician for full-time night shifts in Las Cruces, NM. You will support patients with daily living activities, assist with care, observe behavior, and communicate changes to nurses to inform treatment plans.

The role emphasizes crisis intervention and a patient-centered approach within a 12-bed Behavioral Health Unit, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to promote safety and recovery.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma.
• Certifications: BLS and Handle with Care must be obtained within 45 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with activities of daily living.
• Provides or assists with direct patient care, diagnostic procedures and therapeutic interventions.
• Observes and records patient behavior and activities.
• Reports any changes in physical, mental or emotional condition to nursing staff and suggests modifications to the treatment plan.
• Provides crisis intervention on incoming calls and on the unit to maintain safety.
