Job summary

Adventist Health Castle in Kailua, HI is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide direct and indirect care under the direction of the registered nurse (RN). You will meet patient care needs using the nursing process and assist with activities of daily living and patient safety checks.

Requirements include High School/GED, CNA preferred, BLS and TEAM or TEAM-A required; two years' experience in behavioral health preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Education/GED or equivalent is required.
• Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent is preferred.
• Two years' experience in a behavioral healthcare setting is preferred.
• Licenses/certifications may be required or preferred as listed.

Responsibilities

• Implements psychosocial interventions and assists with basic activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Conducts therapeutic interventions and facilitates groups.
• Performs data collection and participates in care planning.
• Documents patient care information and supports family.
• Assists nursing staff with clerical duties and admissions paperwork.
