Job summary

Northwest Texas Healthcare System in Amarillo seeks a Behavioral Health Tech/No Degree to support patient care under supervision. Duties include observation, basic clinical tasks, group leadership, documentation and safety rounds within a multidisciplinary team.

Required are a current BLS certification and either 2 years of patient care experience or EMT/MA certification or a HS diploma. The role emphasizes safety, professionalism and cultural competence in daily hospital operations.

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire and maintain certification.
• Two years’ experience providing patient care OR EMT/Medical Assistant certification OR High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must meet physical and sensory requirements described in the posting.

Responsibilities

• Supports an organizational culture for Service Excellence and practices standards to all customer groups.
• Attend to patient's direct care needs and perform tasks as delegated under supervision.
• Deliver treatment, safety, and activities of daily living as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Follow infection control procedures and maintain professional appearance per hospital dress code.
• Communicate respectfully with patients, staff and visitors; participate in safety rounds and training.
