Job summary

Wexford Health Sources, Inc. is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician at Navajo County Jail in Holbrook, AZ. You will support patients with mental health needs through structured activities, therapy, and daily stability within a multidisciplinary team.

You will supervise, document, and implement treatment plans, coordinating with clinicians to ensure patient progress while maintaining a safe, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
• Current CPR certification.
• Knowledge of therapeutic activity programs and ability to plan, direct, and participate in recreation/leisure activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate therapeutic group activities designed to support patient engagement.
• Provide supervision and support to patients within mental health programs and housing unit.
• Observe patient behavior and report changes to the clinical team to support ongoing care decisions.
• Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans through structured activities and interventions.
• Evaluate patient capabilities and recommend appropriate program participation.
• Offer one-on-one support and instruction to reinforce coping skills and daily functioning.
• Maintain accurate administrative and clinical documentation related to patient care and activities.
• Coordinate and manage supplies and materials for therapeutic programming.
• Collaborate with the treatment team to ensure activities align with clinical goals and patient needs.
• Follow all behavioral health policies, procedures, and facility protocols to maintain a safe environment.
