Summary: Pyramid Healthcare at Silver Ridge is seeking a dedicated 2nd Shift Behavioral Health Tech to join our team in Mills River, NC. This role is crucial in providing a safe, therapeutic environment for our clients and supporting them throughout their treatment. The position requires a flexible schedule to work 2nd shift with a competitive pay rate and a locked in shift differential for 2nd shift.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the intake process for new clients entering the program.
• Communicate effectively with staff and maintain detailed client logs.
• Listen to clients and ensure a safe and therapeutic environment, including crisis intervention.
• Coordinate and facilitate client activities.
• Conduct and document mandatory bed checks as per department requirements.
• Ensure adherence to client schedules.
• Support interventions and follow treatment plan objectives.
• Monitor medication administration.
• Conduct necessary searches upon client intake.
• Monitor safety and medical needs during treatment.
• Uphold therapeutic boundaries and staff code of ethics.
• Evaluate clients' behavioral and emotional needs and provide input.
• Distribute client snacks as needed.
• Train new staff on unit procedures and program expectations.
• Assist with facility maintenance and upkeep.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
  
  

Required Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• Some mental health experience preferred, but this can be an entry-level role.
• Experience in facilitating groups or activities is a plus.
• Demonstrates professionalism, leadership, and confidentiality.
• Strong social communication and time-management skills.
• Ability to interact with people of diverse backgrounds effectively.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to handle crisis situations calmly.
• Flexibility, adaptability, and ability to maintain a team environment.
