Vanderbilt Health in Nashville is seeking a patient care teammate to implement treatment under RN supervision, providing psychological, emotional and physical support to patients and helping maintain a therapeutic environment.

You will perform clinical tasks such as monitoring vital signs, phlebotomy, specimen collection and point‑of‑care testing, and you will collect data to inform assessments while assisting patients with daily living activities.

Qualifications

• Performs patient care under RN supervision.
• Provides physical, emotional and psychological support to patients.
• Assists in maintaining the therapeutic environment of the clinical program.

Responsabilités

• Performs clinical care including vital signs, phlebotomy, specimen collection and point-of-care testing as directed by unit standards.
• Collects data to contribute to the assessment of individual strengths and limitations.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living as directed by the RN.
• Provides input to the nurse and healthcare team regarding patient progress toward treatment goals.
• Maintains a safe environment conducive to healing and health promotion.
• Gives orientation to new admissions and supports therapeutic relationships.
• Highlights safety concerns to the charge nurse as needed.
• Participates in gathering patients for groups and may co-lead groups.
