Job summary

Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Nursing Assistant/Mental Health Assistant to support patients in a behavioral health setting. You will take vital signs, assist with activities of daily living, and ensure a safe, clean patient environment under RN supervision.

This role requires a High School diploma or GED, basic MS Office skills, and BLS certification. Preferred candidates have a related bachelor's degree and previous behavioral health experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Current BLS certification or within 6 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Takes and records vital signs (TPR) and reports deviations to the nurse.
• Assists with daily living activities and patient comfort tasks.
• Maintains cleanliness and infection control in patient areas.
• Records intake/output and assists with feeding.
• Communicates patient needs and participates in unit rounds.
