Job summary

Central City Health in Detroit is seeking a Behavioral Health Supervisor to oversee daily operations of clinical programs under the Associate Executive Director of Behavioral Health, SUD & Housing. You will ensure compliance with agency and payer standards while guiding multidisciplinary teams.

Requirements include a Master’s degree in social work, psychology or counseling, MI licensure (LMSW/LP/LPC), BLS, and at least four years of advanced mental-health experience.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in social work, psychology or counseling is required.
  • Current Michigan licensure in LMSW/LP/LPC is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of advanced experience in treating mental health.
  • Experience in non-profit/public health sector.
  • Proficient with MS Office and EHR databases.
  • Experience in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Skilled in working with individuals suffering from substance abuse/addiction.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements policies and plans for clinical functions.
  • In collaboration with the Leadership team, identifies new or changing practices.
  • Analyzes the impact on the practice (staff, facility, & equipment).
  • Monitors day-to-day operations and program(s) to ensure compliance goals.
  • Ensures the integration of services promotes a team-based patient care.
  • Participates in the development of agency workflows.
  • Assures compliance with FQHC, NCQA, CMH, and DWIHN.
  • Ensures evidence-based clinical practice workflow.
  • Monitors and reviews charts for compliance standards.
  • Ensures staff meet productivity and departmental goals.

Job Summary:

Central City Health is committed to enabling every patient in our community to thrive by building a collaborative multidisciplinary healthcare team. Under the direct supervision of the Associate Executive Director of Behavioral Health, SUD, & Housing provides oversight and direction to the management teams responsible for daily operations. The Behavioral Health Supervisor works collaboratively with the staff of the clinical programs to ensure compliance with agency and clinical standards, as well as federal, state, local and third-party payer expectations. The Behavioral Health Supervisor will develop and maintain operations to maximize clinical efficiencies and quality objectives while achieving productivity requirements. The Behavioral Health Supervisor will work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordination of clinical and operational practices within the agency. The Supervisor will provide a minimum of 25% (approximately 25-30 encounters) of clinical services monthly.


Responsibilities:

Education & Experience:

  • Current State of Michigan licensure in one: LMSW, LP, or LPC required.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

  • Minimum of four (4) years of advance experience in treating mental health.

  • Experience working for a non-profit organization, public health sector.

  • Proficient with MS Office applications and EHR databases.

  • Experience in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Skilled in working with individuals suffering from substance abuse/addiction.

  • Executes all duties with the highest professional standards.
