Job summary

Alaska Court System is seeking a Behavioral Health Administrator in Anchorage to lead system-wide improvements for justice-involved individuals with behavioral health needs. This grant-funded role emphasizes collaboration with state agencies, prosecutors, public defenders, and community partners to develop programs and policies.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Behavioral Sciences, Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health Counseling or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of progressively responsible experience in behavioral or mental health programs or services.
• Combo of bachelor’s degree and additional work experience may substitute for the master’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Analyze current ACS proposals, programs, policies, rules, and practices and recommend improvements.
• Build and strengthen relationships across Alaska’s behavioral health and justice systems with multiple stakeholders.
• Provide leadership to ACS taskforces, committees, and workgroups and represent ACS in statewide/community groups.
• Research best practices and support implementation of behavioral health-related legislation.
• Develop and deliver trainings for judicial officers and court staff, and manage grants and program data.
