Job summary

Integral Care is seeking a Behavioral Health Specialist in Austin, TX to develop clinical skills and earn supervised hours toward licensure. This full-time role at the Stonegate Clinic focuses on providing psychosocial rehab, emotional support, intensive case management, and service coordination for adults with complex needs.

Responsibilities include diagnostic evaluations, strength and symptom assessments, and coordinating access to medical, behavioral health, and social services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human/Behavioral/Social Services or related field; Master's preferred.
• Current and valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Experience working with individuals with mental illness, behavioral health needs, and/or substance use issues.

• Coordinate services with internal and external providers to support independence and housing stability.
• Participate in diagnostic evaluations and assess strengths, impairments, and symptoms to tailor services.

Job Summary:

The Behavioral Health Specialist position is a great fit for individuals looking to hone their clinical skills and accrue hours towards advanced clinical licensure. Integral Care offers free, board approved clinical supervision to Master's level Social Workers and LPC-Associates. This position is based out of the Stonegate Clinic and serves clients living in and around South Austin.

Behavioral Health Specialists provide psychosocial rehabilitative skills training, emotional support, intensive case management, and service coordination to vulnerable individuals with complex needs, including psychiatric and/or co-occurring substance use disorders, and chronic medical conditions. Behavioral Health Specialists utilize a person-centered, trauma-informed, recovery focused approach to forge therapeutic relationships with racially and culturally diverse individuals, helping them define and facilitate desired life outcomes, cultivate independent living skills, maintain housing, and more effectively manage their mental and behavioral health needs.

Behavioral Health Specialists participate in diagnostic evaluations at regular intervals and provide assessment of individual strengths, preferences, functional impairments, and symptoms of psychiatric and/or co-occurring substance use disorders to ensure optimal and personalized services. Frequent service coordination with external and internal providers is necessary to support individuals in achieving independence and may include access to medical care, substance use treatment, nutrition, financial assistance, transportation, legal assistance, or other services as required to meet their goals and needs.

Regular, predictable attendance is considered to be an essential requirement for this position. Other duties may be assigned. May require a flexible work schedule.

Education:

Required:

• Graduated from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree with a major specialization in Human/Behavioral/Social Services or related field. Master's degree preferred.

License:

Required:

• Current and valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

• Experience working with individuals with mental illness, behavioral health needs, and/or substance abuse issues.

Hours:

Full-Time.

Workdays

Monday - Friday.

Workhours

8:00AM - 5:00PM.

Salary

$24.18- $25.39 an hour, based on education.
