Job summary

Intermountain Health Logan Regional Hospital is seeking a part-time Behavioral Health Specialist to provide direct therapeutic contact through group and individual support. You will address core vulnerabilities, validate feelings, teach coping strategies, and assess immediate risk in coordination with the treatment team.

The role emphasizes safety, documentation, and professional conduct, with opportunities to mentor staff and participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the care

Qualifications

• BLS for healthcare providers.
• Experience in behavioral health or similar setting and ability to demonstrate all BHS job essentials.

Responsibilities

• Leads or co-leads educational and/or didactic groups.
• Contributes to a positive and safe milieu by role-modeling prosocial attitudes.
• Collaborates with the treatment team on safety interventions and patient care needs.
• Mentors and orients new caregivers and students when needed.
• Supports Intermountain Operating Model and continuous improvement practices.
• Maintains professionalism and coaches peers and patients in real time.
• Documents groups, care interventions, and observations promptly.
• May provide 1:1 observation for acutely unsafe patients when required.
