Job summary

Intermountain Health Logan Regional Hospital seeks a Behavioral Health Specialist (BHS) to provide direct therapeutic contact through groups and individual support, addressing core vulnerabilities and risk assessment. You will work with the treatment team to maintain safety and deliver care in a psychiatric setting.

Responsibilities include leading groups, modeling professionalism, assisting with activities of daily living, documenting care, and mentoring peers.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers.
• Demonstrated relevant work experience in a behavioral health or similar setting.

Responsibilities

• Leads or co-leads educational and/or didactic groups.
• Maintain a positive milieu and model prosocial behaviors.
• Collaborate with treatment team on safety interventions and care needs.
• Mentor and orient new caregivers and students as needed.
• Document groups, interventions and observations timely and accurately.
• Provide 1:1 observation for acutely unsafe patients when required.
