Behavioral Health Specialist Fellow (MSW) (LMSW)

Brief Description

Oak Street Health's graduate Behavioral Health Specialist Fellowship is a 12-month paid training program that provides all the necessary skills, support, and learning required to become a highly confident and competent clinician for older adults.

Role Description:

This fellowship is a 12-month paid training program in the collaborative care model within a value-based setting, rewarding healthcare quality over quantity. It includes building knowledge of evidence-based interventions and psychotropic medications, earning clinical supervision hours from a licensed clinical social worker, and engaging in didactic content designed to enhance graduate training. All fellows will work at Oak Street for 12 months post-program, with potential for a long-term career at Oak Street, improving community health across the country.

  • Genuine passion for behavioral health, especially in short-term solution-focused therapy.
  • A supportive attitude toward our older adult patient population.
  • Teamwork mindset and collaboration enthusiasm.
  • Interest in an innovative, empirically guided population health model.
Admission Requirements
  • Family, Adult, or Adult-Gerontology Social Worker, graduated or graduating by July 2025.
  • Willing to work at the designated location for the program duration.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 in MSW program.
  • Active, non-probationary state social work license in the working state, or eligibility by start date.
Selection Timeline
  • First-round interviews as applications are received.
  • Second and third-round interviews (virtual or in-person based on applicant preference).
  • Final decisions by August 15, 2025.

Additional Details
