Job summary

Centurion seeks a Behavioral Health Specialist at Miami Correctional Facility in Bunker Hill, IN. Full-time, days, 40 hours weekly, Monday–Friday, to lead recreation-based therapy and support a multidisciplinary team in achieving treatment goals.

Requirements include a recreation-therapy related degree, internship, and potential NCCAP certification; eligibility for security clearance with background checks is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in recreation therapy or closely related field required.
• NCCAP certification preferred.
• Completion of an approved clinical internship in rehabilitation at an affiliated facility.
• Two years of full-time paid experience after degree to qualify for exam admission.

Responsibilities

• Foster skill building, problem solving, and treatment objectives through recreational and social activities.
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team to support patient growth.
• Reinforce social, adaptive, and independent living skills for inmates.

Pay Range $21-$25 per hour, depending on experience + comprehensive benefits!Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the Indiana Department of Correction.We are seeking a Behavioral Health Specialist for a full-time position at Miami Correctional Facility in Bunker Hill, Indiana.The Behavioral Health Specialist is responsible using recreational and social activities to foster skill building, problem solving, and accomplish treatment objectives.
