Job summary

Duke Health in Durham, NC seeks a Behavioral Health Rounding Nurse to support nursing staff and optimize patient care across medical, surgical, CDU, L&D, CCU and DRI units.

Stationed with the Psychiatry Consultation-Liaison team, the BHRN will round, respond to requests, lead Behavioral Emergency Responses and educate staff, while upholding nursing standards. Requires BSN, NC RN license, and BLS; twelve months of experience.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited BSN program.
• Must have current RN licensure in North Carolina.
• BLS certification required.
• Twelve months of clinical experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care and support to patients and families as per physician orders.
• Coordinate with Psychiatry CL team and nursing staff to optimize behavioral care and intervene during rounds.
• Lead Behavioral Emergency Responses and participate in rounding on at-risk patients.
