Job summary

Advocate Health's Behavioral Health division in Charlotte is seeking a Nursing Behavioral Health: Psychiatric Adult 1 South leader for a full-time night shift. The role offers 36 hours per week (7pm–7am) with a competitive pay range and comprehensive benefits.

Active RN licensure and BSN are required; prior leadership experience is preferred. You will support nursing practice, supervise staff, coordinate shift communication, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current RN licensure in appropriate state.
• Minimum two years nursing experience preferred.
• BSN required.
• RN candidates for external hire or internal promotion without BSN must be enrolled in a BSN program within 1 year of Hire/Transfer date and must complete program within 3 years of enrollment in the program.
• BLS required per policy guidelines.
• Professional certification within 1 year of eligibility for certification exam.

Responsibilities

• Support the manager to enhance nursing practice and delivery of care.
• Assist with interview, selection and supervision of nursing personnel.
• Coordinate shift communications via staff meetings/huddles.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state laws and policies.
• Rounds on patients, teammates and physicians to assess care and operations.
• Delegate care to appropriate healthcare workers per policy.
• Identify outcomes to guide continuity of care and operations.
• Evaluate progress and disseminate information to team.
• Provide nursing care and administer medications as needed.
• Manage patient flow and staffing based on volume and acuity.
