Job summary

Tampa General Behavioral Health Hospital in Tampa, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time day shift. You will deliver direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process, collaborate with patients and the interdisciplinary team, and support safe transitions through discharge planning.

Ideal candidates hold a BSN/ADN or Nursing Diploma, current RN licensure, CPR/De-escalation certs, and have strong communication skills; six months Medical/Surgical experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from accredited BSN/ADN or nursing diploma program.
• Current state licensure as Registered Nurse.
• CPR and De-escalation certification required or obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum six months' Medical/Surgical experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process—Assessment, Planning, Intervention, and Evaluation.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary care team to create personalized care plans.
• Monitor and communicate changes in patient conditions to physicians, supervisors and colleagues.
• Play a key role in discharge planning to support safe, successful transitions.
