Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires an associate’s degree in nursing and an active RN license in the state of employment.
• CPR and de-escalation technique certifications are required.
• Maintains ongoing education and development appropriate for position.
• Preferred: advanced degree or certification in nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care through assessments, plans of care, and treatments.
• Lead on shift to assign tasks and maintain clear communication.
• Perform admission and daily nursing assessments; monitor conditions and pain.
• Administer medications safely, including psychotropic drugs, per policy.
• Document promptly using the EMR and CPOE; ensure wristband scanning.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and coordinate with the care team.
• Educate patients and families; act as advocate for patient safety.
• Contribute to CQI activities and department performance improvement.
