Job summary

Ochsner Health seeks a nurse leader to deliver patient care using the nursing process within the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code, and standards of practice. You will delegate, direct, and support licensed staff; ensure quality outcomes; and promote diversity and professional accountability.

Requirements include RN license in the practicing state, graduate of an accredited nursing program, and BLS. BSN preferred; experience in leadership and teaching is desirable.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process in delivering patient care.
• Assesses learning needs and implements teaching strategies for patients and families.
• Communicates, delegates, and manages nursing team resources within the Interdisciplinary Team.
• Uses data and knowledge to evaluate and promote changes for optimal outcomes.
• Supports patient satisfaction and staff morale through professional practice.
• Performs other related duties as required.
