Job summary

Haven Behavioral Healthcare, an Oceans Healthcare Company, is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide skilled psychiatric care in an inpatient setting. The role emphasizes assessing and intervening with patients using established nursing processes, discharge planning, and medication administration.

The position requires an active RN license (state-specific; compact licenses accepted) and a minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing, with 1 year inpatient experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current, valid and active RN license in the state of employment.
• Valid Compact licenses acceptable.
• Minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing is required.
• One year inpatient hospital experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process: assessment, planning, intervention, implementation and evaluation.
• Identifies risk levels and prescribes interventions to achieve outcomes, including discharge planning.
• Demonstrates knowledge of psychiatric disorders and appropriate nursing interventions.
• Administers medications as prescribed and educates on medications.
• Reviews and updates medical records and documents care accurately.
