Job summary

Capitol Park Mental Health Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to support the delivery of behavioral health and nursing services. You will assess, plan, and coordinate patient care, educate families, and ensure safe medication administration in a state-of-the-art facility.

Requirements include an accredited nursing program graduate and an active RN license with at least 1 year of nursing experience; CPR and de-escalation/ restraint certification are required, with First Aid potentially

Qualifications

• Must graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Must possess a current RN license or be eligible to practice.
• One year of nursing experience; psychiatric/behavioral experience is a plus.
• CPR, de-escalation and restraint certification required; First aid may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate care by assessing patients’ physical and behavioral health needs.
• Develop and implement nursing care plans.
• Maintain medical records and educate patients and families about conditions.
• Adhere to nursing practice standards and facility policies.
• Ensure accurate medication administration and documentation.
• Communicate therapeutically with patients, visitors and staff.
