Job summary
Ascension Saint Thomas Behavioral Health Hospital in Nashville is hiring Registered Nurses to join our inpatient psychiatric unit. We offer Full Time Night 7p-7a and Full Time Day 7a-7p schedules with a pay range of $34.00 to $47.08 per hour, dependent on experience.
The RN will assess, plan, and implement nursing care for adults aged 18-65 with behavioral health needs. Qualifications include an accredited nursing degree, current RN license, and at least 1 year of nursing experience, with CPR
Qualifications
- Graduated from an accredited nursing program (RN).
- Current RN license as required by state of employment.
- At least 1 year of nursing experience; psychiatric/behavioral experience a plus.
- CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required, first aid may be requested.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients’ physical and behavioral health needs and coordinate care.
- Develop and implement nursing care plans.
- Maintain medical records and educate patients and families.
- Follow nursing practice standards per state regulations and facility policies.
- Transcribe physicians’ orders accurately and monitor patient status.
- Notify physicians of significant changes in patient condition.
- Complete admission/discharge processes efficiently.
- Provide therapeutically appropriate communication with patients and staff.
