Job summary

Village Behavioral Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our psychiatric residential treatment center in Louisville, TN. You will provide and coordinate care for children and adolescents, develop and implement nursing care plans, and ensure accurate documentation and patient education.

We value experience in mental health/behavioral health nursing; CPR and de-escalation certification are required, and first aid may be required by state/facility.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Active RN license in the state of employment.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience; psychiatric/behavioral preferred.
• CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required.
• First aid may be required based on state or facility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate care by assessing patients’ physical and behavioral health needs.
• Develop and implement nursing care plans.
• Maintain medical records and educate patients and families about conditions.
• Administer medications accurately and document controlled substances.
• Communicate therapeutically with patients, visitors, and staff.
• Coordinate unit activities and ensure patient safety.
