Job summary

North Vista Hospital in North Las Vegas, NV, part of Prime Healthcare, seeks a Registered Nurse to join its behavioral health unit on a full-time day shift. You will provide direct patient care, education, and support to patients and families in a compassionate, collaborative environment.

You will record histories, assist with diagnostics, operate medical equipment, administer treatments, and support follow-up and rehabilitation, while adhering to mental health laws and interdisciplinary team

Qualifications

Must hold a current and valid State license as a Registered Nurse.
BLS certification must be current on hire and maintained.
ALS certification must be obtained within 120 days of hire; ACLS by May 15, 2026 for hires before Feb 1, 2026.
Knowledge of Mental Health Laws and practice standards.
Experience with interdisciplinary treatment team processes in inpatient/outpatient behavioral health.
Understanding of the continuum of care for behavioral health services.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care, education, and emotional support to patients and families.
Record medical histories and symptoms; assist with diagnostics and operate medical equipment.
Administer treatments and medications; support follow-up and rehabilitation.
Educate patients and families on illness management, diet, exercise, and self-administration of medications.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
