Job summary

Ascension seeks an experienced registered nurse for the Adult Psychiatric Nursing Unit at Ascension Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital in Hoffman Estates, IL. This full-time day shift role includes 3x12-hour shifts with every other weekend and holiday commitments, requiring compassionate patient care and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

BLS Provider certification within 1 month (30 days) of hire date.
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Illinois Board of Nursing prior to hire date.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing or required professional licensure at time of hire.
Minimum of one year RN experience, preferably in behavioral health.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and deliver direct nursing care to guide patients through individualized treatment journeys.
Design, implement and adapt personalized care plans that align with multidisciplinary clinical goals and evolving patient needs.
Partner with interdisciplinary care teams in case conferences to refine treatment objectives and ensure seamless, coordinated care.
Facilitate therapeutic group sessions and clinical interventions, continuously evaluating patient progress to drive positive health outcomes.
