Job summary

Wolfson Children’s Hospital in Jacksonville is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Behavioral Health Unit on a full-time day shift. You will provide patient‑centered care guided by the nursing process, coordinate with supportive personnel, and advocate for children’s health.

Required: active RN license, BLS; ACLS within 6 months for Adult EDs; PALS within one year of hire; background screening as a condition of employment.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• ACLS required within 6 months for Adult ED’s.
• PALS required within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides for patient needs as recognized through the nursing process and mission statement; organizes and supervises care provided by supportive personnel.
• Coordinates care provided by ancillary services and includes patients and families in developing an individualized plan of care.
• Educates patients and families about their disease process and plan of care; serves as patient advocate.
• Delivers care to patients with medical, surgical, or other conditions, including chronic conditions or minor injuries.
