Job summary

West Pines Behavioral Hospital is a new 144-bed inpatient behavioral health facility serving Denver area residents located at 11455 Huron Street, Westminster, CO. A joint venture between Intermountain Health and Acadia Healthcare.

This is a temporary, full-time 13-week nursing assignment with a fixed rate of $68 per hour and is not benefits-eligible. It is a direct temporary opportunity (not an agency contract), and travel stipends or travel reimbursements are not provided.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
• Must possess a current RN license as required by the state of employment.
• One year of nursing experience; prior psychiatric/behavioral care experience a plus.
• CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required.
• First aid may be required based on state or facility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate care by assessing patients’ physical and behavioral health needs.
• Develop and implement nursing care plans.
• Maintain medical records and educate patients and families about health conditions.
• Provide nursing care within standards and facility policies.
• Ensure physicians’ orders are legible and transcribed correctly.
• Monitor patient status and document pertinent information.
• Communicate therapeutically with patients and staff.
