Job summary

PATH (People Acting to Help) Inc. seeks a dedicated RTA to support residents with daily living, training, and therapeutic activities in a collaborative setting.

You will work with a treatment team to promote safety, structure, and recovery while implementing service plans and documenting progress in the health record. Qualifications include a HS diploma or GED (Associates preferred), 2 years of relevant experience, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Minimum of HS diploma or GED required; an Associates or higher in human services is preferred.
• Two years direct experience working with youth or individuals with behavioral health concerns.
• Ability to use an electronic health record and electronic timekeeping.
• Ability to relate positively to youth with behavioral health needs and co-occurring conditions.
• Active and valid driver's license required; vaccination as mandated.

Responsibilities

• Be aware of each resident’s service plan, history, medications, current needs and any special accommodations.
• Support individuals by providing assistance and training in daily living activities: hygiene, clothing, cooking, nutrition, recreation.
• Implement consistent direct service interventions per individual plans; provide crisis intervention when indicated.

Job Summary

To promote the mission of PATH to help individuals achieve a more independent and fulfilling life by being an effective team member. The RTA provides direct care including support, supervision, structure, assistance, skill training and therapeutic interventions, in groups and with individuals, in collaboration with RTF treatment team. Responsible for maintaining a supportive, safe, and therapeutic environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of HS diploma/GED required. Prefer Associates or higher degree in human services field from an accredited college/university.
• 2 years direct experience working with youth or individuals with behavioral health concerns
• Must be able to use an electronic health record and electronic time keeping
• Ability to relate positively to youth and young adults with serious behavioral health issues and youth that may have a co-occurring diagnosis of autism or intellectual disability.
• Active and Valid Driver's License required.
• COVID-19 Vaccination, or willingness to receive vaccine required.

Specific Duties

• Be aware of each resident’s service plan, history, medications, current needs and any special accommodations.
• Support individuals by providing assistance and training in all areas of daily living, including but not limited to the following:
• Hygiene, grooming, toileting and bathing
• Care of clothing, laundry
• Cooking, nutrition, dietary needs, meal preparation
• Leisure activity, recreation and social skill building
• Implement, on a consistent basis, direct service interventions as defined in the individual’s service and psychiatric rehabilitation plans
• Provide crisis intervention in a calm therapeutic manner when indicated

Physical Demands

Ability to perform crisis management interventions including restraints once training is successfully completed. Ability to walk distances during psych rehab activities and other community outings with residents.
