Job description

We are seeking an administrator at a Behavioral Health Residential Facility (BHFR) in North Phoenix. The administrator will report to the CEO of the BHRF. The duties of the administrator include ensuring compliance of policy and procedure and ensuring that the appropriate services are delivered to the group home’s teenage population.

  • Minimum Education : A bachelor’s degree in health administration, psychology or a related mental health field, including a diploma in nursing.
  • Minimum experience : At least 2 years in a related field.
  • Minimum Age : Must be at least 21 years of age to meet standards in A.A.C. Title 9, Chapter 20.

Working Conditions :

  • Must use problem solving skills to resolve occasion and varying unpredictable situations as well as emergency and crisis situations.
  • Occasionally subjected to long and irregular hours during crisis situations.
  • Responsible for scheduling replacement staff for absentee staff.
  • Will be on call during crisis situations, or when replacement staff cannot be found and in similar situations.

Primary responsibilities :

  • Directs administration of program services.
  • Manage and coordinate admissions for clients with substance use / mental health disorders / co-occurring diagnoses.
  • Participates in audits and ensures compliance with policies, procedures, personnel records, residential medical records and follows all regulations by the Arizona Department of Health Services and Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS).
  • Assists in training and supervision of staff members.
  • Participates in child and family team meetings, concurrent review and other school meetings as needed, both virtually over zoom and in-person.
  • Produces monthly progress notes, discharge planning, discharge summary and tracks quality management and incident reports.
  • Ensures staff implementation and tracking of treatment plans for each resident.
  • Transport clients to medical and dental appointments and similar appointments.

Must have the following certifications :

  • Authorized to work in the USA
  • Two-step TB skin tests or QuantiFERON TB blood test
  • Current CPR / First Aid Training.
  • Driver's license
  • 2 professional references and 1 personal reference
