DHR Health in Edinburg, TX is seeking a Nights RN with strong clinical skills to provide comprehensive nursing care on behavioral health units in alignment with state and ANA standards.

The candidate will administer treatments, monitor patient status, collaborate with physicians, and educate patients and families. Texas RN license and BLS are required; BSN preferred and CPI training within 30 days of hire.

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Current Texas RN license and valid BLS.
• CPI training within 30 days of hire.
• Strong communication and English language skills.
• Experience in behavioral health unit preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Promotes the facility mission, vision and values by effectively communicating them to others.
• Ensures care is delivered to each patient in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act of the State of Texas and ANA Standards of Clinical Nursing Practice.
• Performs nursing care using sound judgment.
• Implements physician’s orders in a safe and accurate manner.
• Assists with admitting, discharging and transferring patients.
• Transcribes and implements new physician orders.
• Adapts to unit needs with flexibility.
• Maintains detailed and accurate records of nursing actions.
• Provides education to patients and families.
• Builds a positive work environment and teamwork.
