Job summary

You will provide patient care, educate patients and families, administer treatments, and collaborate with the care team to support recovery and safety. Responsibilities include documenting medical histories, monitoring patients, operating medical equipment, managing medications, and participating in therapeutic groups as needed.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current and valid RN license.
• BLS certification required upon hire and maintained.
• Working knowledge of mental health laws and practice standards.
• Working knowledge of interdisciplinary treatment team processes, behavioral health programming, and daily nursing functions for inpatient and outpatient behavioral health units.
• Understanding of the continuum of care for behavioral health care.

Responsibilities

• Treat patients and educate them about mental and medical conditions; provide emotional support to patients and families.
• Record patients' medical histories and symptoms; help perform diagnostics and administer treatment and medications.
• Assist with patient follow-up, rehabilitation, and discharge planning; operate medical equipment and document care.
