Job summary

Richmond University Medical Center in New York City is seeking a Behavioral Health Quality Manager to lead regulatory readiness, performance measurement, and quality initiatives. You will guide incident management, process improvement, and patient experience efforts across the behavioral health programs.

The role partners with leadership and clinical teams to identify risks and implement corrective actions, fostering a culture of learning and patient-centered care in a fast-paced hospital

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing, health administration, social work, psychology, or related field.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• 2–4+ years in quality management, performance improvement, or regulatory compliance in behavioral health or healthcare settings.
• Knowledge of OMH, OASAS, OPWDD, NYS Justice Center, CMS, TJC requirements.
• Experience with incident management, root cause analysis, and corrective action plans.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with OMH, OASAS, OPWDD, NYS Justice Center, CMS, TJC, and other regulations; lead survey/audit readiness.
• Oversee collection, analysis, and reporting of quality and performance metrics to identify improvement trends.
• Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes, safety, and operational efficiency.
• Manage incident reporting lifecycle: investigation, RCA, corrective/preventive actions, trend monitoring.
• Collaborate with staff and leadership to improve patient experience and staff development in quality practices.
