Job summary

Ohio Department of Behavioral Health is seeking a part-time police officer for NBH Northcoast Behavioral Healthcare in Northfield, OH. You will maintain safety, patrol the grounds, respond to emergencies, and support investigations.

The role is hourly, with a union framework and pay steps; background checks and drug testing are required. Certification and driving license are mandatory, with a six-month probationary period and opportunities for pay increases.

Qualifications

• Possession of certificate having successfully completed approved basic peace officer training program or completion of 20 yrs. active duty as peace officer per Section 109.78(D) of Ohio revised code.
• Valid driver's license.
• Probationary period is one year.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the safety and security of NBH Northcoast Behavioral Healthcare.
• Patrol grounds and building.
• Assist with and conduct investigations.
• Respond to emergencies and code assists.
• Escort, protect, and assist visitors.
• Conduct searches.
• Apprehend, arrest, and process criminal violators.
• File affidavits, serve warrants, and subpoenas.
• Appear in court and testify in criminal proceedings.
• Perform police administrative duties.
