Alden’s Developmental Disability (DD) Pediatric Skilled facilities and DD Independent Group-Living facilities require an experienced psychologist to oversee the psychological and behavioral management duties. The role ensures programs comply with current policies and regulations while guiding staff and coordinating care for residents.

Formación

• Doctorate degree in psychology; license preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in healthcare psychology, including interviews, testing and behavioral management.
• Familiarity with DSM and federal/state LTC regulations for DD care.
• Ability to work with residents, families, staff and community organizations.
• Proficient reading/writing/speaking English; produce concise clinical reports.
• Ability to make independent decisions in residents' best interests; professional demeanor.
• Marketing skills to present Alden’s DD program to the community and professionals.
• Desire to work with diverse populations in long-term or short-term care.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee psychological and behavioral initiatives across DD facilities.
• Organize, oversee, and run operations of psychological/behavioral programs.
• Develop and maintain therapeutic and clinical initiatives for residents.
• Conduct psychological evaluations and document findings in reports.
• Guide staff on psychological and behavioral needs; coordinate with psychiatrists and schools.
• Provide quarterly staff trainings on behavioral management and DD health issues.
• Educate families, residents, and staff; model appropriate interactions.
• Participate in audits and public health surveys; be on-call for visits.
• Maintain records and contribute to Quality Improvement Programs.
