Job description

A Behavior Health Professional is someone who works directly with children and young adults who have developmental disabilities and/or cognitive delays. At Family First, you will work with children primarily diagnosed with developmental delays, children on the Autism Spectrum, ADD/ADHD, and cognitive disorders. BHP experience is required.

Our Company employs BHPs throughout the State of Maine; please indicate on your resume where you reside.

**We do not offer overnight support to clients**

Position: Part Time

Compensation: $25 per hour

Responsibilities:

  • Following a detailed treatment plan with goals specific to each child’s needs.
  • Focusing on behavioral regulation and coping skills in order to increase overall skill development and promote independence.
  • Ensuring client’s health and safety.
  • Working with others in the interest of the individuals we support.
  • Proper documentation compliance in accordance with State of ME regulatory guidelines and practices, using the ClearCare/Well Sky phone app.

Qualifications:

  • One year of BHP experience is required.
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Pass a criminal, drug, and background check.
  • Three references.
  • Own a smartphone.
  • Able to keep online records and communicate via email.
  • Have a valid Driver’s License and Social Security Card.
  • Reliable transportation and proof of insurance.
  • Have or be willing to obtain CPR, First Aid, and other training as required per state of Maine or clients’ Individualized Service Plans (ISPs).
  • Have or be willing to obtain up-to-date, CDC-recommended immunizations for healthcare workers including: MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, and Seasonal Influenza.
