Job summary

Miami University in Oxford, Ohio seeks a Behavioral Health Post Doctoral Fellow to provide clinical services to students, including assessments, individual and group therapy, and crisis intervention. The position is a temporary (fixed term) role with after-hours on-call duties and an emphasis on collaboration with faculty, staff, and families.

Qualifications

• Completion of a doctoral degree from an APA-accredited doctoral training program and a completed APA-approved internship before the position start date.
• Demonstrated interest or experience in providing behavioral health services and psycho-educational programming to university students.

Responsibilities

• Provides psychological services, including assessments, individual and group counseling, and crisis interventions for Miami University students.
• Intervenes in crisis and emergency situations, including after-hours on-call responsibilities.
• Consults with faculty, staff, students, families, and other professionals regarding student mental health needs.
• Initiates psycho-educational programming for university groups and audiences.
• Provides clinical supervision and training to psychology interns and other trainees in the SCS APA-accredited internship program.
• Maintains clinical records and communicates with external practitioners as needed for ethical treatment.
