Qualifications

• No formal experience required; on-the-job training provided.
• Good oral and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to accurately document pertinent information by writing or typing.
• Strong critical thinking and interpersonal skills relevant to patient care.

Responsibilities

• Maintain constant observation of the patient and face the patient at all times.
• Do not leave the patient unattended, including when visitors are present.
• Review RN reports detailing any special needs or monitoring requirements.
• Report any observed changes in patient condition to the duty nurse.
• Assist with patient ambulation and safe transfers as needed.
• Perform room safety sweeps and remove hazards per policy.
• Monitor restraints to ensure safety and comfort.
• Maintain professional appearance and boundary policies.
