Job summary

Aurora Behavioral Health System in Tempe, Arizona seeks a Nursing Manager to lead a dedicated clinical team on an inpatient unit. This Full-Time, On-Site role requires strong clinical leadership, staff development, and a commitment to high-quality, patient-centered behavioral health care.

The ideal candidate will hold a BSN (MSN preferred), have at least 2 years of professional nursing experience with psych/behavioral health, and possess an Arizona RN license with CPR certification.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• MSN or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership and clinical oversight for an assigned nursing unit.
• Supervise, coach, mentor, and support Registered Nurses, Behavioral Health Technicians, and other clinical staff.
• Ensure patients receive safe, compassionate, high-quality care.
• Monitor patient care and nursing practices to ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and standards.
• Ensure appropriate staffing based on patient census, acuity, and clinical needs.
• Collaborate with the Staffing Coordinator and nursing leadership to address staffing needs and coverage.
• Participate in clinical rounds and be visible to patients and staff.
• Support nurses in managing complex patient care situations and clinical concerns.
• Provide guidance during emergencies and changes in patient condition.
• Promote evidence-based nursing practices and positive patient outcomes.
