Job summary

Northern Path Recovery Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana seeks a Director of Nursing to lead nursing practice in a behavioral health setting, ensuring safe, timely, and patient-centered care.

The role oversees staffing, budgeting, infection control, compliance with state and federal regulations, and collaboration with psychiatry and other departments; onsite leadership and program development.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required.
• Master’s degree in psychiatric or mental health nursing preferred.
• Three or more years’ nursing practice experience required.
• At least one year in psychiatric/behavioral health settings preferred.
• RN license in the state or compact state; psychiatric nursing certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sets vision for nursing practice and ensures client-centered, safe care.
• Manages daily nursing operations, staffing and scheduling.
• Oversees medication management and documentation accuracy.
• Maintains infection control, safety and regulatory compliance.
• Assists with budgeting, policy development and interdepartmental coordination.
• Leads staff development, performance reviews and coaching.
