Job summary

VA Eastern Kansas Health Care System is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager to lead its Behavioral Health nursing team. The role focuses on coordinating patient care, staff development, and implementing evidence-based practices across units within the Mental Health program.

The ANM will support the Nurse Manager in 24/7 operations, supervise staff, and promote high-quality, cost-effective patient care in a hierarchical federal system.

Qualifications

• Must be graduate of a school of professional nursing and licensed in the United States or territory.
• Current, full, active and unrestricted registration as a graduate professional nurse in a State, Territory or Commonwealth.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for the 24/7 operation of designated units.
• supervise orientation, training and staff development.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to implement evidence-based programs.
• Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and organizational policies.
• Participate in strategy planning and improve care delivery models.
