VA Eastern Kansas Health Care System seeks an Assistant Nurse Manager for its Behavioral Health program. The ANM will supervise nursing care, coordinate education and staff development, and lead innovative process improvements in a complex clinical setting.

The role requires strong leadership, nursing licensure, and experience in behavioral health, with a focus on quality outcomes and patient-centered care within a federal healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Must possess current, full, active and unrestricted nursing license in a US state or territory.
• Graduate of an approved nursing program (ADN or Diploma).
• BSN preferred; master’s degree in nursing (MSN) or related field with BSN optional.
• 3–5 years Behavioral Health nursing experience preferred.
• Experience in nursing education or evidence-based practice initiatives preferred.
• Physical requirements: long periods of walking, standing, and lifting as part of direct patient care.

Responsabilités

• Assumes accountability for all elements of the nursing process for designated units.
• Coordinate care focused on patient education, self-management, and satisfaction.
• Provide supervision and coverage for other Assistant Nurse Managers as needed.
• Lead with evidence-based practices and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Support 24/7 operations and ensure compliance with accreditation standards.
